I made a post a week ago about adopting a pre-made responsive, simple layout on the site. I like the entire idea of being more simple, and responsive but, I just hate the simple, boring look. It just isn’t me.
So, I started work on the theme I was already working one, which I spoke about in the last post, but I had goals this time to make it less cleaner, more flat, and simple. I don’t know if I achieved this. I really hate the flat look trend that Is going around now. It’s too boring and basic. I’m not a hipster or anything weird like that, so I’m not going to jump on that bandwagon just for the sake of it.
I made the new theme semi-flat, and It should be pretty much responsive. I’m new to the entire responsive thing. For me, the main sites always worked fine on my iPhone 5 and other phones, but I do like how they resize and make it easier to read. The best thing about the new theme is that it isn’t dull, flat, and meh. Most will probably hate it, thats how it always is. I’ll get comments from self importing people who say “Looks so 2000ish”, or something weird.
The new theme is still a work in progress. I’m constantly tweaking things such as colors, and the graphics. We’ll get there eventually.
On the Mobile version, I plan on hiding the descriptions in the “Latest Posts”, but so far I haven’t found a way to do this. But, I will figure it out.
