WOOTHOOO! Got damnidunno.com back!
A few years ago I wrote about how I sold the damnidunno.com. It didn’t take me too long after that sale to regret selling the domain, because i always loved the named, and the idea of the site.
I tried buying it back from the guy a few times, but the guy was hard to contact, and i didn’t want to pay any big bucks or anything in order to buy the domain back. Every year i looked at the whois to see if it expired, but the guy kept renewing it.
This year I got very lucky. I normally buy expiring domains from Godaddy Auctions, or Name.com Expiring domains. These services let you buy soon to expire and be deleted domains from the registrars. I was wondering if Enom had a simliar service for its expiring domains. After some researched i discovered they do, and its NameJet.
damnidunno.com expired in feburary i believe, so i kept checking NameJet to see if the domain was listed there. surely enough after a month it was. Their service works a little bit different than the others. They hav e different stages of domain auctions. There is PreRelease, and after that there is PendingDelete, and so on.
damnidunno was on the first process which is PreRelease, which requires a minimum bid of $69, and if you’re the only one who bid on the domain before the deadline hits, the domain is yours. Since I was the only bidder I was awarded the domain.
I really recommend these services if you’re wanting to catch some good domains. I got the aged domain MadBoard.com, and some others from Godaddy Auctions. I use the closeout/expiring/buy it now auctions on there so i don’t have to pay the monthly auction fee. The only thing that sucks about godaddy expiring domain auctions is you do not get th e domain immediately. You have to wait about 43 days from the expiration date of the domain in order to get the domain. This allows the previous owner to have time to renew the domain during the Redemption Period.
I also bought some pretty nice aged domains on Name.com. They recently raised their prices in the past year, so the way it works is domains start at like $179, and each day the price gets lower, and lower til it gets to around $11. The price used to start at $38 i believe. Great thing about Name.com is that you get the domains instantly after you pay the fee.
You can easily buy aged quality domains on these services, and resell them for double, if not $XXX more than what you paid. For example Irecently bought a domain for $38 on Name.com, and resold it for $155. I could’ve gotten much more for the domain, but I like to buy domains and quickly sell them. I hate sitting on domains waiting for some crazy buyer who’ll pay alot, so as long as i double what i paid, i’m happy. So even though i didn’t rake in $x,xxx o nthe domain, i have more money than i started with, and you can easily sell many more, and make some good extra money.
I usually list my domains on NamePros.com, or digitalpoint. but there are many other places you can sell domains at.
I’m really excited to have the damn domain back. I tried to replace damnidunno with SillyPage, OddWorld XD, owhatever, and wuteva, but none of those domains could replace my beloved Damnidunno, ha,
I’m really not too sure what i’m going to be doing with the site, or what. Might post my non personal articles/blog posts on there, i’m unsure.

For a very long time I’ve been wanting a picture of me as a baby, but i wasn’t sure if any existed.
in 1994 when i was 10 years old my family’s house caught on fire a few days after Christmas. All the family photos were destroyed.
A baby picture of yourself seems to be something very special.
A few months ago i obtained a box of old pictures that were my great grandmothers who passed away in 1995. Most of the pictures are of people that i don’t know. Some are of us when were were like 6 years old and older.
Today i decided to start scanning some of family to post on facebook. i came across this photo of my siblings and cousins. My sister looks super young in it, and she’s like a year and a half older than me, so i thought it was from before i was born. So after i scanned it i decided to date it, and i looked on the back of the photo and it said 2-10-84, which i thought was interesting since i was born on feb 8th, two days earlier.
Then i looked even closer. For some reason, i always thought my brother was holding a doll or something, wasn’t too sure what it was, didn’t think it was a real baby at all. After looking closer, i realize it’s a baby, and it must be me, 2 days old.
So finally, i have a picture of me as a baby, and not even that, but as a new born 
Which is even cooler.

New Layout and camera!
I’ve been wanting to update the layout on the site for a while now. The layout I’ve been using is basically a heavily tweaked and hack layout that I’ve been working on and adding to since I first started using WordPress in 2007. The code was very ugly, and had tons of bugs in it. Also it didn’t have the newer and cleaner code along with functions that have came with the newer versions of wordpress.
So I finally decided to scrap it, and came up with a new theme that I like, I mean its okay, still needs a lot of work, but it’ll be good for now.
The older theme had a lot of custom pages for each category and section, which I’ll need to recreate for this theme. So there might be some bugs and things not appearing in place here and there, but I’ll update those as I get to them.
I’ll be updating it as I go, I want to incorporate some of the things and styles from the older theme, and I still haven’t decided on a background for the site yet. I created this one for now:
Which I think contrasts well with the main content colors, which is mostly black.
I also got a new camera! I got a Canon Rebel T2i, which is a huge improvement over my previous cameras, so I should be posting a lot of new pictures in the next few weeks as I play and learn with it. A lot to learn, but it’ll help me take much better pictures, and its super fun to use!
I bought the age domain OWhatever.com, which I want to start writing about stuff on, but I’m worried it’ll take away from my personal site here, but I don’t know. I think I can write about anything not related to me or this site on there, no idea. ha we’ll see. JoshX.com is mostly dead anymore due to me never writing about anything, and I don’t really care enough about myself to write much about me on here, so I dunno. Maybe JoshX.com will turn into a site just for me to post my work on, and I can write stuff at Owhatever, Or maybe I’ll just eventually sell that domain like I do with all my other ones, ha be we’ll see.

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything. I’ve mostly been brain dead with nothing at all to talk about.
I’m up late tonight, can’t sleep, don’t want to. Too bored to actually do anything, which makes me even more bored I guess…
A little bit ago I tried to find some decent chat rooms to meet new people. But I guess they don’t exist anymore. I tried IRC, but nothing there either, just idle rooms.
I miss being able to chat with people. Back in 1998 I thought it was so awesome, and I’d stay up all night chatting, I was only 14 then, but it was cool. I’m very anti-social anymore, but nights like tonight would be cooler to have people to chat with. Snap out of this anti social bubble or whatever that I’m within.
I bought a new domain tonight. Namecheap was having a 99cent sell on domains, so I couldn’t pass that up. Had no idea what to register. I’ve been wanting a domain to put all my old site archives onto, and I saw “Digiterium” some where, so I went ahead and got that name. I was about to get 57uff, ha which is l33t for stuff.
I have Digiterium set up now, but I have to fix the old sites to get them to work. I know I want to archive them as they were, but a lot of links need fixed and corrected, so that might take some time.

I actually remember making that site. Was in 1998, and was one of my first projects. ha ugly as hell, but was fun. I remember using cooltext.com for the buttons, and was a loyal JASC PaintShop Pro user. 
Webpage stuff was much more fun back then. I’d just build stuff, and have fun. Now it seems like more work. I want to use proper coding and have nice graphics. It was nice using HTML tables, and all that good stuff, ha.
I need to think of ways to promote MadBoard.com. The way I got the MJ forum to be popular years ago was to spam the crap out of other sites, but im too old and lazy to do that now. I think that’s cheap, but maybe I’ll have to resort to that if I want to get it going. I don’t know.

Nothing much has happened in life since I last wrote, started another job at a shitty place I worked at before. Actually isnt that bad this time since im keeping everything on the low, and its at night so way less bullshit
WOOT! Something awesome that has happened since I last wrote is the release of the latest by Marilyn Manson.
Last week I believe, he released his album “Born Villain”, and it has a few awesome songs, such as the cover of an older song called “You’re so Vain”, which I love. The credits say Johnny Depp is a part of it, but he must be playing the flute or something in the background, because no one would have known if it werent for the credit stating such.

The album has some other great songs as well. None that can match “Running To The Edge Of The World” which he released on his last album, and is my favorite song, but still pretty good.

It’s been a crappy winter this year. Every day has been warm mostly. Rarely has it snowed, until today! woot.
and it’s about time! I hate having warm winters. I want them to be freezing icy cold, with snow all over the ground. The summers here in Kansas are way too hot for it not to be.

I was trying to delete one video from youtube, and some how ended up deleting them all.
I meant to check the box next to the video which was at the top, and I guess I checked the SELECT ALL BUTTON, which really didn’t seem to show that all were selected, and there weren’t any warning messages, so I can see how this easily happened. I did a simple google search on the issue and found that many others had it.
You’d think Google would do something to make sure this doesn’t happen ever. Such as have a popup box or something that says “ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU WANT TO DELETE ALL YOUR DAMN VIDEOS”. But nope, nothing. And now with one tiny click all mine are gone.
A lot of the videos on this site were hosted on youtube, so I’ll reupload them over time. I think I hosted many locally too (directly on the server) so those are fine. I might just upload them all to the site here.
I haven’t been up to much, just been playing Battlefield 3. I can’t get tired of this game as I easily can with others. I love it so damned much!

I’ve been trying to get into the Skyrim game, but I really just can’t get into it. I’ll keep trying, ha. I’m not sure how interested I am with the Skyrim type of games. I think it has wizards, fairies, quests, and the things im not too interested in. I can’t even stay awake through the entire first Lord Of The Rings movie (I’ve tried multiple times over the years). But almost everyone is saying how awesome Skyrim is, so I’ll eventually get into it if I keep trying.
I think I hate the UI of that game the most. I just got a mod for the game called SkyUI, which should fix it all up, we’ll see.
Today my Razer Nega Epic mouse should arrive. UPS site says its out for delivery. I cant wait! this will be my first real gaming mouse, and I’m just so damn excited. I’ll try to write a review on it, ha.
Even though it was designed really for MMO games (World of warcraft like games, which I don’t play), I think it’ll still do great with the games I play. It has 12 or so keys on the side for easy access. I can bind these to settings in BF3, Minecraft, and any other game I play. Might even come in handy in Photoshop and other programs I use.
I promise I wont make one of those lame and stupid UNBOXING videos. Seriously those are dumb! 
Another new year!
We’re having another new year. A lot of people seem to go crazy over these but I never really do. Just another day really.
What sucks though is that I was planning on going out tonight, and still might, but I dunno. I have a damn bad cold that proceeded a couple day flu, and it sucks so much. horrible way to end a year.
I’m not sure if I’d rather have the stomach flu that I had, or this cold. I think I’d chose to have the cold because at least I can sit up and not rush to the bathroom every 5 seconds.
I just took some dayquil,, and some 1200mg Mucinex DM – MS. I hope this does something. At least clear my throat where I don’t feel the constant urge to cough something up, which doesn’t come up, and makes me gag for a while.
Weird thing happen latest night, or this morning when I finally passed out. I took some Nyquil, which expires in 1 day (jan 2012 ha), its all I had so whatever. I kept waking up thinking my heart stopped. I was feeling so weird after taking that. I had to remind myself that I was still alive. I don’t think you can live much longer after your heart stopped. The stuff was just making me feel weird as hell. But I was able to pass out just fine. But it didn’t do much to help me feel better when I awoke. Throat is sore as heck.
So 2012 is coming in. This will most likely be my last 2011 post.
Like I said, I never really make a big fuss out of the new year, to me its just another day. But I am going to take advantage of this new year as a timing marker. for example, I am addicted to cappuccino, but I have a lactose intolerance, or something, and those really mess up my stomach. But I love them so much so I’ve over looked it, and kept drinking a lot of them for the past 10 years, even though I kept having stomach probablems, and gained a lot of weight, which I know is from drinking too many of them.
So I’m going to use the new year as an easier way to measure how long I haven’t had one to drink. It’ll be much easier to keep track of than a random date like June 12. So it isn’t a new years resolution, because I think those are dumb, but just a tracking type thing. I also have some other habits I want to overcome. I guess it is a resolution thing, I dunno. I don’t think so. I wont freely accept that I have a new years resolution.
Damn, I really did want to go out and do something tonight. oh well.
I started working on another site called OWXD. Odd World XD. If you want to check it out the address is www.OWXD.com , I think that I am going to start posting a lot of my non personal stuff on there. I dunno. I’ll probably just sell it like the rest of my domains/sites, but its on shitty godaddy so I have to wait 60 days before I can transfer it to someone else, so I figured I’d work on it and give it a chance in the meantime. I think I’m getting sick of this web stuff. I don’t really care or get excited as much as I used to.
I think one of the major things I hate about my cold is that I randomly get cold chills or hot flashes, but I had these with the flu too, so its going on about a week or so that I’ve been having this illness. So I should be about over it soon.
Oh yeah back to the new year. I know I’m jumping around here, but I write as I go, so nothing I say ever makes sense.
The best thing about 2011 I would say is Battlefield 3. The game is damn awesome, and I’m still so inlove with it.
I don’t think I change my look often. Actually, I think I had the same look I have now that I had for the past 10+ years. Maybe a lil chubbier and have less hair, but still basically the same. Anyways here are some recent pictures:

I haven’t been posting much on here during the past few weeks. I can’t seem to stop playing Battlefield 3. This game is simply amazing, and i am completely addicted to it, so I don’t have much time or care to do anything else but play it.
I copied this from South Park (changed the last part though 
), but I’ve been saying “I Don’t eat or sleep or mow the lawn, I just play BF3 all day long!”.. ha.
I can’t remember a time when I actually loved a video game, or anything in that matter as much as I do Battlefield 3. I LOVED Battlefield Bad Company 2, and played the crap out of it, as you can see on my BC2 stats page. But BF3 is something way more amazing.
Battlefield 3 takes everything I loved about BC2, such as the realistically paced game speed, the amazing battlefield environment, team work, and purposeful feeling, and made it so much better, bigger, and even more epic.
The major thing I hate about games such as Modern Warfare and other Call Of Duty games is that there really isn’t any skill involved, you basically just run around shooting whatever, and getting kills, and being killed yourself. No tactical or strategic thinking is involved, and It’s not much fun. Bf3 is probably the opposite of MW3.
The graphics in Bf3 are simply amazing as well. It makes me feel like I used to feel back when I was a kid and would play with my toy action figures, it’s hard to explain really. Almost as if its like watching a interactive CG animated movie. It’s a really great experience.
Here are some screenshots I’ve taken of the game, mind you these are the best graphics, I allow Bf3 to adjust my graphic settings automatically, which it places everything on high, and 16xaa. So the graphics can look much better if you have a much more powerful GPU. I run it on a EVGA Geforce GTX 560 ti SC., which is just fine for me.
I usually play the Support Class, because I’m such a bad that I miss so many targets, and with the a support class you usually get guns that can hold 200+ rounds in each magazine, so you have a lot of ammo to work with. But I’ve already unlocked everything in the Support Class, so I’ve started playing the Assault which is meh, okay. I really like how the weapons are way more accurate, and I can actually use my sights and target something across the distance and hit it, which you can’t really do easily with support.
Another cool thing about BF3 are the jets! But I’ve given up trying to master them. I play with them every now and then for the hell of it, but my Kill/Death ratio gets screwed up and negative when I attempt to pilot, so blah!
As you can see in the following video, I am not a very good jet pilot at all, ha.
